TOWN OF WHEATLAND LEGAL NOTICE

THIS IS A NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF THE 2020 TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL (PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 506 AND 526 OF THE REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW)

HEARING OF COMPLAINTS





NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Assessor for the Town of Wheatland, County of Monroe, has completed the 2020 Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and that a copy is available in the Assessor’s Office, Wheatland Town Hall, 22 Main Street, Scottsville, New York, and on the Town of Wheatland Web Site where it may be seen and examined by any interested persons until the fourth Tuesday in May.

At this time, due to the COVID-19 Virus, and ongoing social distancing protocols to protect the public and town staff, the Town of Wheatland Town Hall is closed to the public. Unless the Town Hall opens between May 1, 2020 and May 26, 2020 any viewing of the 2020 Tentative Tax Roll will need to take place online. For people who do not have Internet access and all others who may want to inquire or review a specific property, you may contact the Assessor via email or by telephone at (585) 889-1553 on the following dates during the specified times.

The Assessor will be in attendance with the 2020 Tentative Assessment Roll on:

Tuesday, May 10 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM

Saturday, May 16 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM

Monday, May 18 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM

At this time, The Board of Assessment Review plans to meet, by telephone conference on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 between the hours of 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wheatland Municipal Building, 22 Main Street to hear and examine all petitions in relation to assessments, on the application of any person believing himself to be aggrieved. If changes are required for the Assessment Board and Public to meet differently, information regarding those changes will follow prior to May 26, 2020.
