Construction will be starting on a new Monroe County Department of Transportation project. The project is located on North Road (between Scottsville Chili Road and Scottsville Road). The Contractor for this project is Nardozzi Paving & Construction, LLC, and the Engineer is Barton & Loguidice. Construction work is scheduled to begin on or around June 10, 2020.
This project will involve:
Removal of the concrete gutter and asphalt shoulder, and installation of 6 foot wide full depth shoulders
Installation of new catch basins and drainage pipes
Installation of granite curbing on both sides of the road from the Village line to Scottsville Road
Milling/paving of the existing travel lanes within the project limits
Installation of new asphalt driveway aprons
Reconstruction of select sidewalk ramps to meet current standards
Relocation of signs and installation of new pavement markings
Traffic will be maintained during construction using lane closures, shoulder closures, and alternating one-way traffic (with flaggers). Access to driveways and side streets will be maintained, except when work is occurring directly in front of these access points. In these instances, there may be a brief delay until flaggers indicate that it is safe to cross the work zone. We recognize that this project may be an inconvenience, but we ask for your patience for the protection of our workers. We expect the work to be completed this Fall.
