This Saturday January 6th National Grid will be doing transmission line upgrades that will involve an extended time without power for some neighboring towns. The Town of Wheatland has been in contact with National Grid Wheatland, Scottsville and Mumford are NOT scheduled to be impacted by this repair work and outage.
National Grid has all ready notified any customer that will lose service by telephone. They will reach out again tomorrow by telephone and email is they have one for the account. If you do not receive a call or email you are not scheduled for the outage. If you do experience a power outage you can report it to national grid at https://www1.nationalgridus.com/outages or by calling 1-800-867-5222. The Town will be monitoring the event.
